The costum is made from organic sustainable and fairtrade cotton from the North of India. Dyed with natural resources in a 100% eco-friendly practice. As the textile industry is on the list of world’s most pollution-emerging industries, I care about the materials I work with. The cotton fabric is made by a nonprofit organisation that supports artisan communities in rural India, and promotes women’s empowerment. And to tell a story of craft, culture, and authenticity.
A worldwide journey from designing in the Netherlands, to the fabric from the North of India to the self-portraits in Upper Egypt.
