Rowana Slegers (1992) is geboren in Velp en heeft gestudeerd op ArtEZ te Arnhem.
Als multidisciplinair kunstenaar en artist educator schept zij beeld vanuit intuïtie en realiteit. Ze onderzoekt deze realiteit in relatie tot symboliek en waarheden van culturen, religies en levensgeschiedenis. Daarnaast is de natuur een grote inspiratiebron.
Rowana werkt met textiel, performance, dans en geluid. Tevens met fotografie, video en digital art. Voor haar is alles één en van hieruit komt alles samen.

Rowana Slegers (1992) born in Velp, studied at ArtEZ in Arnhem.
As an interdisciplinary artist and artist educator, she creates from intuition and reality. She investigates this reality in relation to symbolism and truths of cultures, religions and life history. Beside that, nature is a great source of inspiration.
Rowana works with textiles, performance, dance and sound. Also with photography, video and digital art. She is convinced about the fact that everything is one and from here everything comes together.
*As she feels, she flows between the English and Dutch languages and the languages in between. Sometimes the words in her tongue language can't be exchanged for anything else. As sometimes life itself can't be given any words either.
